Stephen Foster - OH! SUSANNA (Marcha), arr. Domingos Semenzato
Returning to my playlists of Domingos Semenzato I’ve recorded his wonderful arrangement of “OH! SUSANNA” by Stephen Foster. "Oh! Susanna" is a folk song by Stephen Foster, first published in 1848. It is among the most popular American songs ever written. Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. The name Susanna may refer to Foster&aposs deceased sister Charlotte, whose middle name was Susannah.Stephen Collins Foster (July 4, 1826 – January 13, 1864), known as "the father of American music", was an American composer known primarily for his parlour and folk music during the Romantic period. He wrote more than 200 songs, including "Oh! Susanna", "Hard Times Come Again No More", "Camptown Races", "Old Folks at Home" ("Swanee River"), "My Old Kentucky Home", "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair", "Old Black Joe", and "Beautiful Dreamer". Many of his compositions remain popular today.#StephenCollinsFoster#DomingosSemenzato#OhSusanna#Marcha#AndreyShilov#classicalguitar#guitar#BestGuitarArrangements#AmericanGuitarMusic#UkrainianGuitarists#GuitarVirtuosos#rare#CountryMusic
